Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Business Admin / Shopify Analyst to join our growing remote team. This is a key role focused on bridging business needs with Shopify-based solutions—supporting everything from requirements gathering to QA and client communications. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience with the Shopify platform, understands how to navigate and manage it inside and out, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Understand business needs and collect detailed requirements around features, functionality, design preferences and integrations.

  • Analysis and Solution Architecture: Construct solutions from predefined packages and solutions including theme and app selections, feasibility studies of requirements and solutions within time and budget constraints.

  • Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitor's websites and overall solution in order to competitively position the proposed solution for our client or prospect.

  • Translate Requirements: Convert business requirements into technical specifications for the design and development team.

  • UX support: Assist in creating prototypes or wireframes to visualize the end product and provide input to ensure a positive and intuitive user experience.

  • QA Support: Create test cases or reuse templated ones based on the requirements for more accurate and tailored testing.

  • Client QA support: Facilitate UAT (user acceptance testing) to ensure the end product meets business expectations and filter out anything that should not be actioned by the production team by liaising directly with the client regarding their feedback.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Attend client kick-off calls and maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Migrations from other e-commerce platforms to Shopify
  • Flows and Automations: Building out flows and automations on Shopify based on project requirements.
  • Shopify admin and content responsibilities needed on websites including but not limited to data analysis (exports/imports etc).
  • Stay updated with the latest Shopify developments and releases within the ecosystem.

Job Requirements:

We’re looking for a seasoned Business Analyst/Shopify Admin with a solid business and technical background. The ideal candidate should bring:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Shopify (not just as a user, but in a professional capacity across projects and clients).

  • Deep understanding of the Shopify admin interface, including product setup, collections, navigation, theme customization, app installation, and third-party integrations.

  • Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.

  • Strong understanding of Shopify themes, apps, and ecosystem tools, with the ability to assess feasibility and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Experience conducting competitor analysis to guide solution direction and ensure competitive positioning.

  • Comfortable creating or collaborating on wireframes/prototypes, with a strong grasp of user flows and UX principles.

  • Solid experience writing and managing QA test cases and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Strong communication skills to manage stakeholder interactions, run client calls, and provide regular updates.

  • Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp and the discipline to manage deliverables independently.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a digital agency or client-facing environment.
  • Technical scoping and documentation skills for software engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML, Git, and CMS platforms.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
